Groove’s new entertainment platform replaces complicated user interfaces and remotes with a simple, accessible experience, built around how senior living residents want to watch TV.
Groove Technology Solutions, a leading PropTech provider serving senior living and healthcare properties nationwide, today announced the launch of TotalVue, its custom-built TV service designed specifically for senior living communities.
Off-the-shelf streaming platforms typically fall short in senior living, requiring personal logins and app navigation that many residents can’t or won’t manage. TotalVue removes that friction, delivering live and on-demand programming over the community’s existing network with no logins, no passwords, and no bulky in-room equipment required.
That programming comes packaged with DVR and Lookback functionality, plus a full lineup of music channels residents can personalize to their taste, all combined into a single, community-wide experience. Residents can record a favorite show, catch up on one they missed, browse hundreds of titles, or set up their own soundtrack, all through an easy-to-use, voice-activated remote.
The TotalVue platform also doubles as a communication hub. Communities can use branded channels to broadcast dining menus, activity calendars, event announcements, emergency alerts, and more directly onto residents’ TVs. They can also send targeted messages straight to an individual resident’s screen, whether it’s a quick wellness check or a heads-up that a package is waiting. Because the message requires the resident to acknowledge it, staff know it’s been seen. In addition, accessibility features, including higher contrast, larger text, and closed captions, come standard on every screen.
