“No Signal” or “No Picture”

Written by Sidney Rogers

Try the troubleshooting steps below only if you’re seeing a black, blue, or gray screen, or the No Signal error message without the DIRECTV logo.

Check your TV Input

  1. Turn your TV and receiver off and back on.

  2. Find the original remote that came with the TV.

  3. On your remote control, press TV Input or Source to cycle through TV inputs (component, HDMI, etc.) until you see a picture.

If you’re still having issues, check the cable used to connect your receiver to your TV. You are looking for a HDMI, coax cable, component, composite or RCA cable. Be sure they are snug into their slot.

If you’re still having issues, try swapping out the cable used to connect your receiver to your TV (component, HDMI, etc).

If the above steps do not fix the issue please reach out to our support line at 801-994-3642 or chat with us here.
